The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales, service excellence, and regional performance. This includes meeting revenue targets, ensuring compliance, managing customer relationships, optimizing operational costs, and leading a motivated sales team. Position Details
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Targets: Exceed sales and service goals across all product categories.
- Metrics Achievement: Achieve defined KPIs — customer visits, enquiries, conversions, demos, quotations, installations, and collections.
- Profitability: Meet profit objectives by protecting margins and managing costs.
- Customer Base Growth: Expand the customer base year-on-year through proactive engagement.
- Installations & Service: Oversee installation quality and ensure compliance with service standards.
- AMC Generation: Drive timely generation and renewal of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).
- Stock Management: Supervise product inventory and rotation for quality assurance and availability.
- Customer Interaction: Audit client interactions to maintain high service satisfaction levels.
- Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with marketing to execute campaigns, events, and brand activities.
- Competitor Analysis: Conduct quarterly market and competitor analysis to stay competitive.
- Product Innovation: Identify potential new vendors and products for portfolio enhancement.
- Strategy Implementation: Execute company sales strategies to accelerate regional growth.
Reporting & Administration
- Process Compliance: Ensure adherence to company rules and sales procedures.
- Expense Management: Monitor travel and conveyance costs within budget limits.
- Payments: Facilitate timely payments to vendors and team members.
- Team Meetings: Conduct weekly review meetings to track progress and address challenges.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate ERP records and generate required reports on time.
- Regional Reporting: Share timely updates and reports with senior management and head office.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of total experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, KPIs, and market trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and strategic decision-making.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Leadership qualities and ability to motivate a team.
