We are seeking an experienced Sr. Ticketing Travel Agent to manage domestic and international airline ticket bookings. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of airline systems, fare structures, reservation tools, and industry standards, ensuring seamless booking experiences and top-tier customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Airline Ticketing: Handle the complete airline ticketing process, including issuing domestic and international tickets. Stay up to date with fare rules, airline regulations, and market trends.
- Customer Service: Assist clients in selecting suitable travel options based on preferences and budgets. Address customer queries promptly and ensure professional service.
- Booking & Reservation Management: Demonstrated experience using CRS/GDS systems such as Galileo or Amadeus. Process bookings accurately, manage changes, cancellations, and refunds. Ensure compliance with airline policies and travel regulations.
- Sales & Upselling: Promote additional services such as travel insurance, seat upgrades, or premium add-ons. Achieve revenue goals through effective upselling and customer engagement.
- Technology Proficiency: Use modern ticketing and reservation platforms effectively; stay updated with technological advancements in the travel sector.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain travel documents, itineraries, and booking confirmations; ensure records are organized and updated in internal systems.
- Crisis Management: Handle disruptions (e.g., flight delays or cancellations) with urgency and professionalism, providing clients with alternative solutions and assistance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Travel Agent, specializing in ticketing.
- Proficiency in GDS systems such as Amadeus or Galileo.
- Strong understanding of fare rules, ticket issuance, reissuance, and refunds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer engagement.
- Proven experience in sales and upselling within the travel domain.
- Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and meet service standards consistently.
- Certification in Travel & Tourism or a related field is an advantage.
